Brushing Up on History

Senior Send-Off Week is right around the corner. One of the many exciting events taking place that week is Team Trivia Night on Monday, April 11, at the Levitt Center. Teams will face off to test their knowledge on the University of Iowa.

When I think about all there is to know about the rich history of this campus, I realize I really need to start preparing for Trivia Night. I always wonder who the different buildings are named after, such as the Levitt Center (Richard S. and Jeanne S. Levitt) and Macbride Hall (former UI president Thomas Macbride).  Students pass by these and other buildings every day and don’t know the history behind the names.

I’m ready to assemble my team and hit the books—to research the UI’s history!
