Magic Man

Carver-Hawkeye Arena has been host to many top-notch athletes. One of the greatest is about to make a return visit next month.

Earvin “Magic” Johnson, an NBA legend who once played for Michigan State, will present a lecture on how businesses can revitalize inner-city communities at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 28, at Carver. Though admission is free to the general public, tickets are required and will be available Monday, April 11, through the IMU Box Office.

I’m looking forward to seeing what the L.A. Laker has been up to since his 1996 retirement from basketball. You can find more about the event, sponsored by the UI Tippie College of Business and the UI Lecture Committee, here.
