Improving Health Care Delivery

Join us in Des Moines on Sunday, Dec. 7, for our newest Lifelong Learning session, “Telemedicine in Iowa: Improving Health Care Delivery.”

Patrick Brophy, UI director of pediatric nephrology, dialysis, and transplantation, as well as the assistant vice president for the university’s eHealth & eNovation Center, will lead the discussion, which is free to attend and open to the public.

Brophy will highlight the center’s developing telemedicine program, which will deliver diverse health care options to rural Iowa, reducing costs and travel while increasing access to specialists and follow-up care locally.

The event begins at 2 p.m. at the Des Moines Public Library’s Central branch, 1000 Grand Ave., Des Moines, IA 50309. Click here for more information, including how to RSVP. Noon, Friday, Dec. 5, is the registration deadline.
