Going to Extremes

Over the years, Dan Gable has certainly been considered by some to be intense, if not extreme. Gable, legendary Hawkeye wrestling coach and Olympic champion, recently put his extreme passion for wrestling and for helping others to good use. The Extreme Makeover episode that aired last night on  ABC shows Gable joining the  Extreme Makeover team to renovate a home for the Lampe family from Louisville, Kentucky. The Lampes are a “wrestling family,” who run a community training center from a makeshift wrestling area in their old garage.  Besides helping to design the Lampe’s new wrestling room, Gable was also pleased to give wrestling another avenue to reach a national audience.
