Fighting for Floyd

Since 1935, the Iowa Hawkeyes and Minnesota Golden Gophers have battled for the Floyd of Rosedale trophy. A simple wager between the border states’ governors has since grown into a much-anticipated college football rivalry. While both schools participate in other trophy games each season, there’s just something special about hoisting that bronze pig victoriously into the air.

On Saturday, Sept. 28, Iowa and Minnesota will play for Floyd of Rosedale for the 78th time. Want to see the Hawkeyes take on the Gophers live at TCF Stadium? Treasure Island Resort and Casino has assembled a special rivalry game package that includes two football tickets, a one-night stay in a standard hotel room, and $50 of free slot play—all for $299. Game tickets must be picked up at Treasure Island before game time and guests must be 21 or older to reserve a room.
