Experience the Magic Behind the Ardore Quartet Yourself

The UIAA’s Lifelong Learning program is honored to present two behind-the-scenes opportunities with the Ardore String Quartet in western Iowa. On Tuesday, May 21 and Wednesday, May 22, attendees will have the opportunity to meet with Elizabeth Oakes, University of Iowa String Quartet Residency Program Coordinator, and the Ardore String Quartet as they perform some of their favorite compositions, answer questions, and discuss their passion for a style of music with origins dating back to the 16th century.

The Ardore String Quartet was formed at Andrews College in 2005. In 2011, the quartet re-formed at the University of Iowa. Today’s ensemble include founding member Lucy Lewis along with William Gentzsch, Manuel Tábora, and Yoo-Jung Chang. If you are a fan of classical music, or would like to learn more about it, this is a wonderful opportunity.

Join us on Tuesday, May 21 at the Warren Cultural Center in Greenfield or on Wednesday, May 22 at the Corning Opera House in Corning for a behind-the-scenes experience you will be sure to enjoy. This event is free and open to the public. Deadline to register for both events is Wednesday, May 15.

Learn more and register here. Performances will follow the discussions. Purchase performance tickets separately through the links on the registration form.
