Hawkeye Happy Hour: Let’s Get Technical

In an increasingly global market, the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields are vital to regional and national economic growth. On Friday, May 10, the University of Iowa Alumni Association and the Iowa City Area Development Group will host an industry-focused happy hour at the Sheraton Iowa City Hotel.

Join us for a two-hour open house and networking reception emphasizing the importance of STEM education and the current challenges that local employers face. 15 senior design projects from the UI College of Engineering’s electrical and computer engineering department will be on display along with faculty and student representatives to explain their projects. Additionally, robotics teams from local high schools will be on hand to demonstrate their latest inventions and answer questions.

Come enjoy hors d’oeuvres and beverages while you network with other professionals. We hope to see you there!
