Homecoming Memories

What a beautiful weekend we experienced in Iowa City for the 100th anniversary of Homecoming! The weather proved perfect for the parade and concert, spirits ran high, and the Hawkeyes capped it off with a 31-13 victory against the Minnesota Golden Gophers, once again capturing Floyd of Rosedale!!

On Friday, the UI Alumni Association hosted two welcome tents—one on Washington Street and the other on Clinton near the picturesque Pentacrest. Our staff thoroughly enjoyed chatting with alumni and friends who stopped by to play our fun Plinko and trivia games, update their records, and score free pop, water, and Hawkeye goodies. A great time was had by all. We remained available to visitors throughout the parade, cheering on Alumni Band and our UIAA float entry and watching a beautiful full moon rise into the night sky. We can’t wait for next year!!
