Dreams, Life, and Aging

Have you ever shared dreams, lessons learned during your lifetime or thoughts on aging with anyone? It’s an interesting concept that many UI students and local senior citizens participated in as part of a class project led by UI Associate Director of Student Development David Gould in his “Aging and Leisure” course. Inspired by this dialogue, the group composed and recorded two songs: one about the seniors’ reflections on the past and another featuring the students’ goals for the future.

You are invited to learn more about this project on Thursday, February 16 at Melrose Meadows, 350 Dublin Drive in Iowa City. The discussion will start at 6:30 p.m. and is free and open to the public. You can register at wordpress.iowalum.com/lifelonglearning or by calling 319-335-3294.
