Dance Marathon Raises the Bar Again

On Saturday, Feb. 8, Dance Marathon 20 announced that it broke all previous UI records by raising $1,801,032.20 to benefit youth cancer patients and their families. During the 24-hour BIG EVENT, participants raised money by dancing in the IMU to celebrate youth cancer survivors and remember the children who have passed away throughout the year.

This year, more than 200 Dance Marathon alumni participated in the weekend’s festivities—contributing $109,376.20 to Dance Marathon 20’s total. Alumni enjoyed a special anniversary dinner inside Kinnick Stadium, a social gathering at the Airliner, lunch hosted by the DM leadership team, and, of course, a whole lot of dancing!

The UIAA is honored to take part in this meaningful annual event. Only 361 days until Dance Marathon 21!
