Sending Seniors Off in Style

For every student who enrolls at the University of Iowa the time inevitably comes to move on. For some grad school may be in their immediate future, others will begin a career in their selected field. This is a time of great excitement and anticipation. The University of Iowa Alumni Association and RiverFest are proud to offer this year’s seniors a celebration they’ll never forget. Senior Week @ RiverFest is just a few days away!

If you’re a UI senior, it’s time to celebrate your final few weeks. From art and athletics to philanthropy and academics, Senior Week @ RiverFest has something for everyone. Some of the highlights from next week’s festivities are:

Team Trivia Night (Tuesday, April 23)

Think you know your random Iowa fun facts? Prove it at Iowa Team Trivia Night! Form a team of up to five and take on the rest of Iowa’s trivia titans for a chance to win prizes. Deadline to register your team is Friday, April 19 at noon.

S.T.A.T. Dodgeball Tournament (Sunday, April 28)

The UI Alumni Association’s Students Today, Alumni Tomorrow (S.T.A.T.) proudly presents a dodgeball tournament in Kinnick Stadium to raise money for Dance Marathon and UI Children’s Hospital. Only the TEAM CAPTAIN must be a S.T.A.T. member. Deadline to register your team is Monday, April 22 at 8 a.m. Your $60 team ($10/person) registration includes:

  • Double elimination tournament
  • Tours of Kinnick’s home and visitor locker rooms
  • An opportunity to meet a celebrity guest
  • Snacks and beverages
  • Chances to win prizes all day long
