Hawkeye Happy Hour: A Networking Event

As the old business adage goes, sometimes “It’s all about who you know.” Whether you’re a seasoned professional or new to the workforce, it’s important to network, make new business contacts, and gain insights about changes in your industry.

Early next month, the University of Iowa Alumni Association and the Iowa City Area Development Group will proudly present an industry-focused happy hour beginning at 5:30 p.m.

In conjunction with the grand opening of the IC Colab, a contemporary workspace that encourages professional collaboration, the UIAA will feature Dan Reed, UI vice president for research and economic development, and David Hensley, UI interim associate vice president for economic development, as they discuss the future of business and entrepreneurship in the Corridor. Come meet with fellow Hawkeyes in a casual environment to hear what our speakers have to say—and to contribute your own thoughts regarding the evolution of our local industries.

This event is free and open to the public, but we need to know how many people will attend. Deadline to register is noon on Wednesday, April 3. Complimentary appetizers will be provided.
