Royal Lily

Here at the UIAA, we’re super proud of a remarkable student we came to know two years ago through our Iowa Voyagers program. This year’s UI Homecoming Queen, Lily Allen-Duenas, traveled in 2010 on our “Operation Romania” service trip, which offers scholarships to deserving young people who wish to make a difference in the world. While there, she nurtured and cared for children living in an orphanage in Tutova—and came away forever changed. In its eighth year, the Dr. Ken Magid Child Advocacy Service Scholarship is available for qualified UI students to use toward the Romania program, and we invite you to learn more about this special opportunity.
