Nearly Naked Sprint

Arriving at the Community Outreach Committee meeting tonight after a quick workout and carrying a Subway sandwich in my hand, I was quickly greeted with cupcakes, party mix, and smiling faces! Last night’s main topic was the Nearly Naked Mile. The event will take place in two weeks (on Saturday, March 5). During the meeting, details such as when volunteers should arrive and how set-up will take place were discussed.

Today is going to be the first-ever Nearly Naked Sprint! S.T.A.T. Ambassadors will take off their warm layers to run around campus nearly naked! Our committee’s goal is not only to shock students with the Ambassador’s nearly naked bodies, but also to create a greater interest in the Nearly Naked Mile.

“Running Bare Because We Care” highlights our commitment to raising homelessness awareness during these frigid winter months. So today as students hurry to class, they will be greeted by the sight of S.T.A.T. Ambassadors sprinting by nearly naked!
