This weekend, the route for RAGBRAI (The Register’s Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa) XXXIX was announced. RAGBRAI is a seven-day bicycle ride that will take place the week of July 24-30. I have always thought about doing RAGBRAI, and this year is no exception. With Coralville hosting this year, there is no better time to ride my little heart out. I would only ride for a couple days, more than likely from Grinnell to Coralville, and then Coralville to Davenport. This way, I wouldn’t have to “rough it” overnight, even though I have a feeling that might be the most fun part! Or I could just drive to Coralville and take part in the festivities without over setting foot on a bike (and of course, purchase a cool RAGBRAI sweatshirt). If you have a desire to ride in the oldest, largest, longest bicycling tour event in the world, you better get going—we only have 173 days left to train!
