S.T.A.T. Plans for the Semester

Last night was the S.T.A.T. Ambassadors’ first general meeting of the semester. Walking into a room filled with eager Ambassadors ready to take on a new semester, I found my place at the front table. It has been a great honor to take on a new position among the S.T.A.T. Ambassadors as the new vice president of communications.

The new semester brings about a new opportunity to enhance old events, develop new events, and create a stronger bond between members. Here are some upcoming events for S.T.A.T. members to mark on their calendars:

  • Hot Chocolate Giveaway on February 1, 10 a.m.-12 p.m., in Kautz Plaza. Students will be able to stop by between classes and warm up with a cup of hot chocolate.
  • Dance Marathon on February 4-5. At the event, Ambassadors will hand out ice cream to the energetic dancers.
  • Nearly Naked Mile on March 5, 2-4 p.m., in Hubbard Park. Participants donate clothing to the Salvation Army prior to the mile-long race around campus.

After all of the agenda items were covered, the meeting came to an end. Ambassadors left the Levitt Center feeling ambitious to start the new semester. I left ready to take on a night filled with homework.
