Honoring Dr. King

University offices will be closed Monday. Instead of going to work or school, members of the UI community are encouraged to participate in the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Day of Service. This year, the campus will focus on meeting the needs of the homeless and hungry in our area by collecting donations for the Shelter House and the Crisis Center of Johnson County.

For more information on the Day of Service and for a complete listing of the UI’s Celebration of Human Rights Week events, visit http://mlk.uiowa.edu. I’d also love to hear your comments about what you plan to do to celebrate the legacy of Dr. King.
