Congratulations, Hawkeyes!

To note, my son, an avid Hawk fan, predicted this exact score the day before the game, Iowa 27, Mizzou 24. I like the way he thinks and glad we stayed glued to the TV until the final play. The late night left many of us at the UIAA sleepy this morning but it was well worth it. Congratulations to Coach Ferentz and the Iowa Hawkeyes for their win over the Missouri Tigers in the Insight Bowl. What a great way to end the season. It was especially thrilling as Marcus Coker took over the ground game and smashed his way to being named offensive player of the game. Hey, not bad for a true freshman. Marcus and the Hawkeyes, you made us proud. As for 2010, it has been fun and the UIAA is gearing up for next year, so check our website for updated information about all our events including our Members’ Tailgate and Homecoming.

Need more Hawkeye action? The Iowa wrestling team is in Evanston, IL for the Midland Championships today and tomorrow. Iowa has won the Midlands 21 times and looking for number 22. Let’s go Hawks! Check on how they are doing at www.hawkeyesports.com or tune into AM 800 KXIC.

Happy New Year
