International Writing Program presents a week of free events Sept. 15-19

The 2010 University of Iowa International Writing Program (IWP) is now in full swing, with a series of free events Sept. 15-19. The schedule includes a screening of the 2010 German film “Soul Boy,” in conversation with Kenyan writer Billy Kahora Sept. 15; a panel discussion with pizza, “Satire’s Global Reach” — featuring David Hill of New Zealand, Pola Oloixarac of Argentina, Maryia Martysevich of Belarus and Farhad A.K. Sulliman Khoyratty of Mauritius — Sept. 17; a reading with refreshments by Alan Cherchesov from Russia and Albana Shala from the Netherlands Sept. 17; and a joint reading with the Writers’ University featuring Ismail Bala from Nigeria and Chandrahas Choudhury from India Sept. 19.
